Why Cannabis?
Because Cannabis is the future, although it is a crop that has been around for a long time as it has been cultivated by humans for 10,000 years.
We chose to cultivate this miraculous plant because we have been impressed by its versatility and benefits. It is an annual plant, a renewable and biodegradable raw material from which we can make thousands of ecological products.
The plant itself is fully utilized, and has no waste. The flowers, the seeds, the stem - which includes the fiber and the woody trunk, even the roots can be utilized and are already applied in a huge range of innovative products such as food, cosmetics, medicines, clothes, building materials, insulation, bioplastics. , biofuels, batteries, etc. As early as 1947, the American magazine Popular Mechanics estimated that we could make more than 25,000 products from industrial hemp.
Cannabis is considered a superfood as it contains all the amino acids, fatty acids and vegetable protein that the human body needs.
The flowers contain the valuable Cannabidiol (CBD) which has important therapeutic use and effectively treats a variety of neurological diseases and infections, as well as many other useful compounds such as terpenes, flavonoids, chlorophyll, vitamins and trace elements.
With hemp fiber we can produce pulp in a more sustainable way, to produce bio-plastics that can replace disposable petrochemical plastics, but also ecological insulation materials. With the wooden trunk we can replace all the wood products that come from deforestation and build bioclimatic houses with lime hemp, even graphene for the production of batteries.
Plant cultivation has also been proven to help rehabilitating depleted areas, protect the soil and filter water, enhance biodiversity, capture large amounts of carbon dioxide, reduce deforestation, and help restoration of contaminated areas. There are not many plant-agricultural products that not only give you the opportunity to penetrate many sectors of economic activity, but also that have significant environmental benefits.
